A search provided a few discussions about the pros and cons of one-piece vs. two-piece tarp skins but I could not find any reference to anyone who makes a one-piece.
Anyone know where I might find one?

I have a prototype you can have if you PM me. Will let you know if you like the concept.

I was specifically referring to how the cuben snake skins force the air out of a cuben tarp - I can't say if it would be the same for all tarps.
I personally don't get the one-piece idea. It's like taking everything great about snakeskins and making it sloppier and suckier. With two snakeskins, each one is tapered but a taper would not be possible with a single skin since it would have to be able to slide in one (or both) directions.

Mine was not cuben. Just plain old nylon plain weave. Forcing the air out of the tarp is not the problem I had. Just trying to manage 12' of tube wrinkled and crinkled up around the end of the tarp is a pain. It's like trying to get on a pair of tight kilt socks on damp legs. Or ask a significant lady in your life about trying to put on tight pantyhose. So much easier to slip a tapered skin over each end.
