MN, Favorite campsite at Crosby Manitou?

What's your favorite campsite at Crosby Manitou? I just got back from #7. Thought it was a good site with plenty of hanging trees. #13 has been good to me as well. Anyone stay at #2 next to the Cascades? Curious how that one is for hanging a hammock.

I always head down to 15 or 16 so I can get out of the hub bub and get a good long loop hike in. Both are great for hanging. I've had lunch at 2 but never stayed there. Really any of the sites are great for hanging as I've noticed, plenty of trees everywhere. I do like 6 as well if the weather is right. Fun to hang up there with the views across the Manitou River Valley. I do the trail maint. for the SHT from Crosby Manitou to the Caribou Wayside so I'm up there in those campsites quite a bit and never had a bad experience in any of them. If you're wanting to get some extra adventure in, hike across the manitou on the SHT for a couple miles and stay at the Horseshoe Ridge campsite. Tucked way back there and has a couple of great areas to hang.

Just reserved #1, couldn't wait any longer the reservable sites were starting to dwindle away. Hoping #1 has good trees for two or three hammocks

I've never been to #1. But looking at the map, I don't think you'll have any visitors. Should be a nice quiet campsite. Be sure to take the Humpback trail either on the way in or out if you've never done that trail before.
