JRB Greylock 3... questions on my setup, HELP!!

Hey folks, been doing a bunch of changing things on my hennessy hammock hyperlite. Went out to test and brought my wife along. In the process I gathered some info that lead me to some question.

    1. There's a few pics of the UQ hung without me in it. I know, according to Obi Wan Shugnobi (master jedi of the UQ), I want that thing holding up the hammock a bit. It just seems a little excessive in my case, maybe I'm wrong? It doesn't seem to be compressing the down, there is a tiny bit of pressure on the inside seems of the UQ, but it doesn't seem like I'm going to rip it it. I have it as loose as the tensioner will allow. Also using the "secondary suspension" with shock cord prussiks on the end loops.

    2. I always seem to get cold under my legs. I use an inflatable pad for my feet, and they are fine, but I know there has to be a gap there. I had my wife take some pictures with me in it. It seems like the hammock has a ridge that I can't seem the UQ end to seal around, and I struggle with that gap under my legs. The first picture highlights this well, even with my wife adjusting with me laying in it she couldn't get it sealed up.

Any help, tips, comments, would be appreciated!!

I use Triangle Thingies as my secondary suspension. They keep the Greylock 3 positioned.
I never take my UQ off my hammock and I never fiddle with it.
I cant say that my legs ever get cold using the sit pad in the footbox of my quilt.

I also never migrate the down or fluff it before I deploy.
I do always use a UQP regardless of the weather.
    I am 5'-11"
    How tall are you?

EDIT: That second pic looks like the Greylock is not achieving its full potential length.

This morning.....notice the Triangle Thingies. They are installed upside down. They naturally want to shift to the underside on the Blackbird XLC so I don't fight it.

I don't fluff it either, I love how much loft these things have! I'm only 5' 8". I have a 2qzq UQP on order, so I'm sure I can eliminate some draft with that. I think in that second pic (the one without me in it) I didn't have it pulled out on the prussik knots that are on the primary suspension. It seems like maybe I'll try stretching it out further, yours looks a bit more "taught" lengthwise. Also, looking at my pictures now, maybe its the hang creating some hard angles/ridges for me to deal with. Hmmm.

I would recommend actually loosening the shock cord at the ends a bit- especially where your legs are. I used to get that same small gap where my legs are when I got my first UQ. But once I actually loosened the ends up, it sealed much better. It allowed the quilt to envelope me better. In my experience, the ends don't have to be cinched that much on 3/4 length quilts. Full length quilts are a different story.

Jack has a pretty good video showing the Graylock 3 install on a Hennessy. He gives in tial suggestions on the end cinch lengths.

    Sweet guys, thanks!!!

I found that video of Jack putting it on the hennessy. Gonna try some of those techniques for sure. I've never been cold to the point of shivering. It's just that leg area I notice in the morning. It seems in his video it does hang that high without a person in it. Thanks again.

EDIT: Watched Shug's video on it again, seems like he's got it tighter then I do on the primary shock cord. I need to stop "babying" it perhaps and pull it a bit tighter as well.

Kaptastic, Jack did another video on the Greylock on installing Prusik knots on the corners to help keep the quilt in place. Enjoy!
