Here is the reply I received from Clark on the UQ....sounds great!!!
Hi Ron,
This rumor is true. We are manufacturing a type of under-insulation system that is made specifically for our 4-seaons models (like the North American). This will be available in September. It includes 6 insulation pads that enhance the effectiveness of the hammock’s 6 insulation pockets. It also includes insulation for the area between your knees and feet which the pockets do not cover. It will weigh about 23 oz. and will probably cost between $150 and $200. More specs will be available on our website soon.
Regards,
Clark Outdoor Products
I would think that if you designed something for the NA model that it would have 6 small quilts fitting inside the pockets that are side by side and then a triangle sort of shaped quilt to attach to the velcro under the rest of the hammock. That's my thoughts for the NA but that would not work for my tropical. I've got 4 pockets that are seperated by a huge gap between them. Whole different configuation to make the under quilt into and to put inside the pockets.
I phoned Clark today to get more info about the NX250 and also asked about the UQ system they are working on. They were very helpful... told me that the UQ is being made to work for their 4-season hammocks... the insulation pads are made to fit inside the 6 pockets... so I guess that it will not work with the other models... I was told that they will be available in September & cost between $150-$190...

I'm wondering if the pocket quilts will work for me, I think my head and shoulders may be higher than the pockets leaving them without protection. Guess I'll have to wait until it gets here (FRIDAY) and try.
