    WBRR measurments

A friend and I are in the process of making some DIY bridge hammocks. I really liked the lay of the wbRR, and wanted some measurements so we could get close to how the WBRR has...
If its not too much to ask can someone sharethe following:

Does the second layer stretches across the width from head to toe
If yes to 1, then if you are using an insulating pad does it ever slipped to the sides?
The head end spreader bar length. I have seen 36.5" and 40".
The foot end spreader bar length.
The length of the cords from the head and foot spreader bars to the suspension.

    Thanks!

Once weighted, Yes, but the outside layer is cut slightly wider to allow some room between the layers for a pad without raising the inner layer as much as it would otherwise.

If yes to 1, then if you are using an insulating pad does it ever slipped to the sides?

A narrow pad has some room to move but it isn't a significant problem. A wide pad is prefered anyway for a bit of shoulder coverage.

The head end spreader bar length. I have seen 36.5" and 40".
The foot end spreader bar length.

The length of the cords from the head and foot spreader bars to the suspension.

    Thanks!

    Warbonnet Ridge runner numbers

    Great information for builders.

Thinking on paper here: Adding an inch to the width of the lower layer will allow for about 0.5" of inflation of a pad--adding 2 inches permits greater pad inflation, but could also permit more pad slippage. Making the 2nd layer wider reduces or eliminates this layer's supportive role when used without a pad. No more than 225# in the hammock, please. Having seen the Bear Mtn Bridge H., I'd add a 2nd layer to a one layer bridge as a 27" wide rectangular sleeve--going all the way to the edge just adds weight and complicates construction.

As for the legs of the suspension triangle, Acer answered, 42.5" in this thread, post #1. 37" legs (what I used in version 0.1 of my bridge), while a bit tippy, worked for our 36" spreader bars.

    Current version 0.1 stats:
    83" long,
36" wide at spreader bars with ~45" of fabric suspended
    34" at the middle.
Shoulders 28" wide (20 degree hang angle)
    36" spreader bars 9.9 oz
hammock with 37" dogbones, 7' whoopies, 2 smc rings: 10.1 oz
    6' tree straps 3.1 oz

    Bug protection:
    TBA

Not a WBRR, but our version & excellent enough.
