My very first solo hike June 27-29 ~ It was amazing!

I did my first solo hike this weekend!

Wonderful experience...Thanks to everyone that has shared their knowledge with me over the past few years. I believe that I used everything you have taught and shared with me on this hike.

I learned even more doing this trip. Hope you enjoy the vid.

What a cool milestone. Solo lets you focus on your own needs...and its fun to adjust those needs accordingly. Very cool.

Congrats! The honor is well deserved! Looks like you had a great time. There's something special about time alone in the great outdoors.

Colorado is on my list, especially now that I know there are no bugs in Colorado...

Thank you. It was different for me to only focus on what I wanted. I never did cook, which surprised me, since that was very different from what I usually do.

Thank you for watching Silvrsufr. And you are correct, it did give my head a little clearing, which it def needed.

It was awesome Shug. It was a big deal for me to do this. Wish I had been backpacking a lot longer, thus more experiences

Starting and ending at the highest point in the GSMNP, nearly 20 miles of hiking, nearly 10,000 feet in elevation change, rocky trails, fog, rain, perpetual stream crossings, gnats, amphibia, dung beetles, soaked to the bone, two nights in the woods and stealth camping. On your first solo trip.
