    Daily sleeping hammock for 2?

Hi, I just started sleeping in a hammock and have been loving it, my wife has tried it and actually loves it too. We would like to replace our king sized bed with a large hammock or 2 hammocks side by side, we would prefer 1 large hammock but haven't seen many that are that large and comfortable for 2 for daily sleeping any suggestions for a good hammock for us, I would also consider a DYI hammock if needed but would prefer to buy one(space is not an issue) thanks for any input/suggestions.

You'll want two hammocks. One large one is OK for nap, not so good for all night sleep for two people. YMMV. Any decent gathered end should work, you could even look in the diy section for a tablecloth hammock. They are cheap and extremely easy to make.

Check out Jeff's Hammock Website about how to whip the ends of a hammock and you could make your own. I never had luck with DIY gear so I just buy it. I have an 11 foot hammock and a turtledog stand. Another option is to just use bolts in the studs to hang your hammock indoors.

There is also the Clark Vertex which I have heard is the best two person hammock around... No idea how you would hang that indoors but beside that i would agree with the others that 2 hammocks are the way to go.

I second the Clark Vertex. Watch the video on their site. They aren't cheap but they look super comfy for two people.

I was at a hang with Dutch this past week-end and he had a Vertex. We got an up close and personal look at it. It's is truly and engineering marvel. Judge for yourself:

That being said, two hammocks, IMHO, is the way to go. If either person gets out of the Vertex while the other person is in it, the person remaining will be disturbed by the motion, change of lay, lopsided pitch until the other person returns.

Two hammocks give you the independent freedom of getting in/getting out without fear of disturbing the other person.

All the best in you decision.
