We definitely have had our share of rain in the latter part of the summer. If the old adage is true about the number of fogs in August being a predictor for the number of snows this winter, our plows are going to get a workout!

Jim had surgery last month, so I'm not sure where he is on firewood availability, but I'll try to find out of that is the route y'all want to go.

I did talk to the vendor committee again and they are still fine with you setting up on that side near the restrooms.

The group site has been partially renovated and may be done by the time you get here, but I'm not positive about that yet.
    Thursday through Monday is fine.

Please encourage everyone to go up to the Visitors Center and check out the new instrument cases made out of chestnut. The groups donations helped fund some of the materials for those. We have 2 more planned for the mandolin and dulcimer and a final one for the fiddle if we have enough wood.

    See you soon!
    Marcia
Thanks for all the updates, Tim. We hope to do the Thurs-Mon deal....backpack on Thurs/Fri. (It's always easier getting water up at Thomas Knob if there's been recent rain.) Friday night back at base camp and enjoy the weekend.

Let me know if you need anything, and give the girls a hug. (Looking forward to seeing them.)

Glad it's getting close. I can't stand to be away from the mountains for long! Looking forward to seeing friends and eatin' some good vittles!
Thanks for the help. I think I've got all the cooking gear in hand. But hands at the cooking table will be greatly appreciated.
I've added another cast iron skillet and 12-inch dutch oven to the pile of stuff. I think that makes 3 of each.
