    One more Lynx question

After a thorough search of the forum I don't think I found even one negative comment about the Lynx.
But before I pull the trigger I have one concern...I think I know the answer but I need reassured
The actual insulation area does not cover the entire bottom surface of the hammock. In a post by Brandon, he states that the actual insulation is mummy shaped - 20" at the head, 33" at the shoulders, and 24' at the foot. (referring to the full length version)
Is everyone finding this to be enough coverage? What's the likelihood of body parts extending past the insulated area?

Its fine. First, there are two Lynxs: one is full length, the other a partial length. Sounds like you want the full-length one (it weighs a bit more).

Assuming you get that one, the Lynx is sort of an hour-glass shape -- widest by your head, next widest at the foot, and narrowest around your belly. But, when you clip it on to the bottom of the RR hammock and turn the RR over, you'll see that the Lynx fits closely to the shape of the bottom layer, up to where that very strong strip is that you hold onto when you get in and out. So, it fits the RR exactly and there are no gaps.

The only way you can have body parts extending past this insulated area would be if you stick your feet, legs, or arms outside the hammock, uncovered by whatever top quilt you have.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks ChacMool - yes, I was asking about the full length version - I edited my post to clarify.

If you fit in the hammock length wise you will be covered by the full length Lynx. Brandon built the Lynx to fit the Ridgerunner perfectly when loaded. Fit and coverage are perfect.
