    Made my own hammock stand

I didn't have poles that long to make turtle stand so made my own. Whole thing weighs less then 10 kg and stableness is guaranteed with swoopies. Also it gives me possibility to change tilt of my hang.
    Hope you like it

edit: sorry, it weighs more than 3 kg :P Weighed it by hand and it seemed light, but in reality, as fir has density of 465 kg/m^3, it should be about 9,7 kg of wood + some bolts.

editedit: I'm not sure, I need a scale to determine exact weight, it still feels **** light.

Nice looking stand. Would you share a list of materials (wood & hardware) with their cut dimensions.

    Good Hammock Stand Design

This adjustability is great, also the minimal number of support beams (wooden building wall studs) and connection points. Add a smaller diameter extension to the diagonal/vertical posts and you could attach a tarp for shade or weather protection if you used it on a porch or deck outside at night or during the daytime. I also like the side or lateral guy lines for added stability, cord that goes from top to edges of beams perpendicular to long dual beam on the floor. Simple design but attention to detail, very good.

EDIT: Just a thought, if someone wanted to copy your design but make it more transportable so it could be disassembled and placed in a vehicle etc. Perhaps the two parallel center beams on the bottom could actually be 4 shorter beams with a 5th beam in between them (between the vertical beams) and bolted to the outer four beams to hold or bond them together. Thus none of the beams would be extremely long when disassembled. This idea would have been much simpler if I had sketched it. Not a criticism, just brainstorming and you may have actually done this I just could not tell by the photo, obviously 2 long beams are lighter and probably stronger. I'm always thinking like an engineer and there are so many minor modifications to these hammock stands. Wood is fun.

    Glad that everyone likes it.
I used 4 of 2,7 meter long fir beams, with dimensions of 44mmx44mm (That was all I got at moment).
I used M6 size screws to bolt things together, before that of course I drilled the holes for them.
If to be honest, I'd advise to tape places you screw bolts through, just to be safe.
Stands "Ridgeline" is 3,5 meters long and everything else is adjustable. I used Whoopies, that means There are 6 whoopies which all have to be under tension for it to work, but load straps should be fine at these places.
It would be good to get better bolts for attaching the hammock.

I'll add one plan with dimensions I used.

ntxkayakr, I like your center-beam idea If I'll get some time maybe it's a go.

A center hinge combined with telescoping vertical poles could make this VERY transportable

Thank you for the details. I really like the clean look of this and the minimum use of wood.

Nice use of tension lines to minimize structure.
