Bug netting, to sew or not to sew? That is the question.

Hey guys! Yesterday I created my first two hammocks. So now I am debating on whether or not to create a removable bug net such as Xtrekker's or use Ian Young's idea and sew the bug net to the hammock and only add zipper to about 3/4 of one side for access. I am curious if any of you have tried Ian's idea. If so, do you regret not being able to remove the bug net? I know this is subjective and everyone is going to prefer something different. I am just curious on which you prefer and why...

    You mean this idea here?

If this is what you mean, this link will help others answer your question. I haven't tried DIYGearSupply's plans. I find it easier to have two pull tabs on the zipper that close to the center. I open the tabs left and right as far as I need to get in or out. Good luck!

Yes that is the one! I really like the idea of adding the netting to the hammock. First, it's simple and requires less sewing. (who doesn't like that?) Second, it's self contained. Third, it's lighter and uses less materials than other methods. So that is my perspective on it anyway.

    Thanks for duel zipper idea!
