That's a double-ended stuff sack. A little different than a Black Bishop Bag. (Black Bishop deserves credit for his contribution, IMO)

This is the piece of equipment on the triangles that breaks the water flow. You don't need anything else, like a drip line.

Like others have said, there isn't enough "wet" on the amsteel lines to worry about. You may have more humidity on your WBRR and clothing than on the lines.

Practice setting up in rain(or equivalent) at home and you'll be good to go in the woods. Congrats on your new arrival.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Could not agree more. The trivial amount of water that would be on the lines are far less than the body moisture that you have put off into the quilts over the corse of a night. WB did an amazing job on the RR and all of the custom built hardware and soft-wear that goest into....much of the hammocks components were designed from scratch. They all work in sync so well that they deal with most issues you're trying to find a work around for. I have had mine in a few very strong storms and some multi day drizzles/snow storms. I don't think of packing it any differently than any other hammock.

I love this forum. pgibson (Paul?) had an excellent opportunity to advertise his sap sack, www.arrowhead-equipment.com/store/c11/Suspension.html that I mentioned earlier in the thread, but he stuck strictly to the topic at hand. Pretty good sign of integrity.

I just encountered this. The double ended stuff sack makes it easy to leave the wet ends just hanging out. Stick then in a baggie if you like. I just wrapped mine around the whole stuff sack and tossed it in my pack.

I've resigned that my hammock shall no longer lie with my quilts whilst traveling in my pack. I enjoyed the ability to just unclip the dry hammock, quilt attached, from the wet suspension and stuff everything into the compactor bag - that was really handy on my last walk where it rained all 4 days of the trip. This small concession is easily forgotten while enjoying the absurd comfort of the ridgerunner. I carry a small packtowel so I'll just wipe down the amsteel and smile.
