Best tie out lines for Super Fly?

I've got 550 paracord lines for rigging the peak, but 550 seems way heavy for the sides and pull outs, even though my SF is heavier than normal being the Multicam version.

I'm new to hammocks - I would appreciate advice on what type line and weight to use for sides? I have purchased the red MSR stakes shown in the tarp video.

Also, I am hoping for woodland colors to go with camo nature of tarp.

    Thanks!

Warbonnet Outdoors sells 1.75 mm dyneema in 100' rolls for tarp guyline (ridgeline, too), in dark grey or bright yellow colors. Its strong and works good.

Practically, yellow can be better for tarp guylines because you're less likely to trip over it at night -- but dark grey is much less garish in the woods.

[I think MSR or someone sells a reflective line, more visible by flashlight in the dark, but I haven't used that and its certainly not camo (maybe red/white/reflective silver).]

I make all my guylines from Zing-It - http://www.reddenmarine.com/samson-r...-x-180-ft.html. If you get on their mailing list, Redden Marine has a "free shipping" sale every few months.

Zing It or Lash It 1.7 ( same thing, Zing It is yellow and Lash It is gray ) will work just fine. You can also try braided ( not twisted ) mason line. Not as strong as Zing It but a cost a lot less and while it is slightly lighter than Zing It, its not enough to make a save more than a gram or two.

I second the idea of size #18 braided mason line if you are budget minded. $8 will get you a lifetime supply, and it weighs next to nothing.

Downsides are it tangles fairly easily, and splicing it is a real pain if you're trying to do something creative with it.

Only problem I have with camo or dark guylines is tripping over them. All mine are yellow or orange because of that.

Paracord is great cordage but for tarp use I'd go with the other recommendations here. It stretches, holds water and is a little be more bulky.
