Extra Loops?

I am looking at the Wilderness Logics full length underquilt and one of the options is "Extra Loops" at $5/loop, four maximum. What are these loops for and why would I need them? I have two hammocks, at WB BB 1.7 DL, and a HH Explorer Deluxe. Does anyone have any experience with this UQ and either of these hammocks?

I already own a Hammock Gear 0° Underquilt. How would this quilt compare? I know the Wilderness Logics is rated to 10° (not as warm, but it is $30 cheaper) but I am more concerned with how it would attach and hang on either of my two hammocks.

Extra loops are great for snugging up the quilt suspension. FYI: I had a local thread injector wizard add extra loops to my 11' snipe instead of to the quilts.
