    Safari Deluxe and snakeskins?

Hi, it's been a while since I posted anything here but.. Iiiiiiiiiiiit's TIME!! We are sending this post from Sweden....

Ok, enough of that... This is serious stuff, I just picked up a package and it contains a HH Safari Deluxe Asym ZIP.

What's your take on this? will both hammock and tarp fit inside the HH Snakeskins or should I buy DD Hammocks XL Sleeve?

I have the Explorer Deluxe hammock with the Hex tarp. I use the snakeskins with my Hex tarp which hangs independently of my hammock. I have another set of snakeskins made by Mountain Goat which I use with my HH Explorer Deluxe along with the Super Shelter undercover (I no longer take this off during tear down). I do remove the HH SS pad and emergency blanket and pack them separately in their own compression sack. So I recommend two sets of snakeskins.

    Cheers

That is actually not a bad idea at all, by using two sets of snakeskins I can tuck the hammock in and still have the tarp setup as a shelter/admin area without the hammock being in my way.

I like quick decisions perhaps a little impulsive but you only live once.

Two sets of snakeskins ordered and will be in my hands Thursday hopefully, first hang in my HH this coming weekend looking very possible.

Also, it is nice to be able to put the tarp in the skins when the weather is clear. Then, it doesn't obstruct your view.

looks like ALPINE DAD answered the prime point of your question

in addition to his solution, i have made my suspension systems EASILY detachable

WHEN you encounter wet weather, you can remove the suspension systems & store/carry them away from the hammock, itself

this keeps the main components dry & reduces the chance of having to sleep in a wet hammock/bedding

just one old man's 2¢ worth

How did you solve it at the hammock end? the rope as it is now is tied.

Safari doesn't seem to fit right in the Hennessy xl snake skins just the hammock its self. tarp works in snake skins but rolling or folding the safari and pulling on down the skins leaves me pissed off 75% of the time.... going to make a bishop bag!
