My first hang with the WBBB was in early Sept. on the Mogollon. I only had a thin pad for bottom insulation at the time. I froze my butt off! My advice would be to bring at least a 3 season UQ. But then I'm a cold sleeper so you might get some more opinions.

It will get down in the 40's that time of year maybe the 30's. This spot is up at 7500 ft. The Rim is a cooler climate.

I get 0 deg UQ and TQ, most of Our Backpack Trips are on the Rim. Cool nights even in Summer. 58 deg last weekend at East Clear Creek.

Hello all. My lovely wife and I would love to join in on this hang. It will be our first group deal and we both are pretty stoked about it. Give me some time and we will come up with some grub ideas. Earliest we could arrive would be Saturday the 20th but we won't leave until the 22nd. Can't wait to see your set ups!

I think we may be missing one? DanglingModifier from San Diego was interested.

Interested definitely, but not likely to fly in AND rent a car in Phoenix for a solo drive up to the spot. It's a lot more attractive of a prospect if I could fly into Phoenix and get myself somewhere convenient for pickup from someone heading up already. If I knew I could grab a lift up/down with someone it becomes more practical for me to come. My previous post to that effect didn't get any bites yet. FWIW, I'd come bearing gifts of gas money...

Come to think of it I've got a friend who's a DJ at... <brief pause for Google lookup> ...KSLX. I know he was into hiking a several years back. Been a while since we talked. Maybe I can convince him to head up there with me for the weekend.

You'll want something even if it's just a pad.
