Ridge line hooks and adjusters

This is for a non-struc ridge line AND I can not tie knots, so don't suggest the the "Phil McCrevis self adjusting double boner knot"

I was looking for small metal or plastic hooks with built in cord locks?
That would make life simple for my ridge lines and tarps.

Any sources?

Figure 9s. Simple and easy. I actually prefer the ones that do not have an attached biner.

Weights:

small Figure 9: 3.9 g == 0.13 oz

Line Lok: 0.6 g == 0.02 oz == 6.5 small figure 9s

Each has advantages and disadvantages.

Abrasion on line: Figure 9 can be more than Line Lok and maybe a lot more depending on application

The Figure 9 can be adjusted down to a very small gap, the Line Lok can only be adjusted down to half the gap unless the knot securing the Line Lok is changed.

The Figure 9 can accommodate a wider range of cord diameters than the Line Lok. I have used the small Figure 9 on cord ranging from 1.75 mm up to 3 mm diameters. The Line Lok can handle the 1.75 mm and the 2.2 mm cord I have, but definitely cannot handle the 3 mm cord.

It is easier to set the Figure 9 to the middle of a line and then pull the end tight. The Line Lok can only be set-up in one configuration.

It is a lot easier to pull cord very tight with the Figure 9 than with the Line Lok, significantly easier.

Both are very easy to use and change the tightness of the cord.

I purchased from Fisheries Supply in Seattle. They had them carded and in bulk. Carded is a lot more expensive. I purchased from their bulk bin and explains the difference in price you see for the same Line Lok on the web site. Do not agree to a partial shipment if they back order - they charge S&H separately on both shipments - tell them to wait for the full order.
