Has anyone here made a tq or uq out of Primaloft ? and does it work?
I know it will be alittle heavier than down but will it keep me warm ?
I am looking to make my wife and myself a set of summer quilts out of it and we are on a budget.

I like it. It's more uniform in thickness than Climashield Green, so it's easier to make a summer quilt without thin spots. Note: I haven't use Climashield Apex or Sport, and I expect they may be better than the Climashield Green I got 4 years ago. But I do like Primaloft.
The Climashield that I bought last year had no thin spots in it except where I was playing with it and stretched it to see what it would do. I was using some scraps for experimenting with it.
The nicest thing about Climashield is that it doesn't need to be quilted every 3 to 6". I laid out the two layers of fabric over the climashield, cut it roughly to fit, sewed except for a turning opening. Then cut the climashield to exact size, turned, closed the opening and top stitched for looks and extra security.
Easy, peasy.
I love the feel of primaloft, but haven't made any quilts using it. I used climashield in all my synthetic quilts because of the lack of quilting requirements. However, I used primaloft for hats and mittens and it is buttery soft. Practically as soft as down.
