All, would like to make a hammock for my grand-son (7 y/o, slight build). Looking for something I can find at Walmart & just gather the ends (don't want to do any sewing). What can I use? Thanks, Grizhicks

Lots of people seem to use tablecloths.. Sometimes ripstop can be found at Walmart pretty cheaply too.
Here's a link for the TableCloths Factory. And here's a thread by Caveman that shows you how to do it: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...e-way-I-do-it)
Thanks, guys....
I've made 2 from tablecloths, but was trying to find something local, without waiting on shipping. -- Grizhicks
I gave my niece and nephew hammocks a couple years ago. They managed to destroy them in no time at all. I would go with the tablecloth hammocks if I were you as they seem to be pretty strong. Something your grandson could grow into and strong enough to take the abuse of a 7 year old.
