Finally saved up and found a good deal on a Warbonnet hammock and tarp only to have it stolen.Mail man delivered it on Thursday and apparently some one picked it up. Post office said sorry nothing we can do. I HATE THEIVES!!!!!!!! I was so looking forward to finally getting to hang a hammock.

Yes it does. I have been saving for a while. Money is kind of tight with one girl just getting out of college and another one starting. All my extra goes to them.
Have you confirmed that it was not dropped off at a neighbors house by mistake?
I had this happen (again) this week by FedEx. I have good neighbors and got the package later that evening.
Wow, so bad that type of thing happens.
Sad thing is, the thief probably has no idea what to they stole or what to do with it.
I spoke with the mail man today and he said he set it by our front gate.

The post office has their own police that investigate thefts, I would make a claim with them and your local police. If you don't take action the crimminals will keep stealing and depending on the cash value of the items detectives will have to get involved.

There's actually no rule for this.. I live right next to my county fairground, so I filed a paper with the USPS requiring them to hand the package to a person.. But still, substitute carriers will still drop it.
To the OP.. doc 17th is right.. call the cops, file a claim with the post office.. and honestly.. try putting up a camera.. then putting out a USPS box next to the gate.. see if it happens again.. it's only entrapment if the cops do it
