    Upgrading My DIY Equipment

My DIY UL UQ, along with other projects, paid for my used sewing machine.

Then I gave my extra dining table to my daughter, who finished college, got a job right away, and moved into her own apartment.

So, I needed a new project center.

    Ordered this: http://www.walmart.com/ip/15690337?w...933910&veh=sem

So think back a ways in time, MDSH. did you ever think you would be buying a sewing table for yourself?

Don't take this as a jab, I'm just jealous

    Nope.

But it makes sense. I used to help the church ladies make costumes for Christmas pageants and Passion plays -- they were always nervous when I used their machines! But the place would be packed for those things.

I looked at three second-hand stores for a table that would work. Nada.

Found some old sewing machines, though. One was treadle powered!

Not a big fan of particle board but this went together in about two hours (I'm slow) and I'm pleased with the results, thinking it will serve me well.
