Easy Height Adjustments from Wall Hang?

I'm considering trying hanging from the wall, but want to experiment with different heights without installing multiple eye screws. Has anyone developed a wall mount system that allows for easy height adjustments? I would like to use something similar to spanning a 2x4 or 2x6 over at least 2 or more studs to evenly distribute the load of my weight in the hammock.

Edit: I just had a thought...I could install one set of eye screws fairly high and then make adjustments using rope attached to the hammock ends.

Edit2: Actually, a rope wouldn't work well for height adjustment as it would change the hang angle.

2 Eye bolts. One high, and one low. A metal bar between the two.

I've not thought it thru, but as a starter idea it may run.

The idea of an eye bolt in a wooden stud worries me

In my hammock room I have a rig constructed of heavy lumber including vertical posts against the walls and a horizontal beam between the two at the top. Infinite height adjustment. On the other side of the room I have eye bolts, each screwed into a wall stud. These eye bolts have held well with hangers well over the 200# mark. I actually built this house and knew that the studs were well anchored, but by finding the center of the stud, drilling an appropriate pilot hole, having a 4" eye bolt and screwing it all the way in, seems to work very well. I have since installed screw eyes in my basement to hang on during the summer, and my ridge runner loves them.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.
