This isn't a review, as I just received my ThunderBird from Dream Hammock today (1 day after it shipped), but I will say that I looked closely at everything and it is flawless. And the 1.8 nylon taffeta feels great against the skin. I can't wait until I get a chance to hang in it.

Being the gram weenie that I seem to have become I of course weighed the hammock and all of its individual components. I thought folks in the market for a new hammock might find the specs useful.

ThunderBird SL 1.8 w/ Whoopie Slings (Complete) = 31.91oz (904.6g)

Hammock minus everything except 10" Continuous Loops = 15.95oz (452.1g)
Detachable Top Cover in Noseeum Peak Bag = 5.34oz (151.4g)
Detachable Bug Net in Noseeum Peak Bag = 4.78oz (135.3g)
7/64" Amsteel Whoopie Slings, 6' = 1.58oz (45.0g)
Polyester 1" Tree Straps, 6' = 2.62oz (74.4g)
Pack Hook Tie-Outs (Shock Cord), 64" = 0.58oz (16.2g)
Double-Ended Stuff Sack = 0.74oz (20.9g)

I didn't completely break down the weights for my Blackbird XLC DL 1.1 but here's what I do have for the sake of comparison.

Blackbird XLC DL 1.1 w/ Adjustable Webbing (Complete) = 39.52oz (1120.5g)

Hammock w/ Suspension minus Bug Net & Top Cover = 23.82oz (675.3g)
Detachable Top Cover = 7.19oz (203.7g)
Detachable Bug Net = 7.72oz (218.8g)
Double-Ended Stuff Sack = 0.80oz (22.7g)
