I tell you, a car/truck sun shade (or two) make an excellent (and cheap) reflective sleeping pad.

Hello from the peanut gallery! Dad and I are driving up there tomorrow with the kayak and Wander Mutt. Tinas making chicken and dumplings for the potluck and I'm bringing a neat little ridgeline for the tree prize table. I cant wait!!!

I never thought of this. That is a good idea--especially if you are backpacking. I had one for the Jeep--but I think I might have thrown it away a few years ago But like you said its cheap.

Erinkae, I'll bring the one I used to use. I'll be hanging with my underquilt for the first time this weekend, so I shouldn't need it. 😊

Sure! If you do not mind getting rid of some. I think I will have room in the car for it. Haha. Mike might even want some too- (mikethebeard) I will ask. Cause those nice sleeping pads at REI are ridiculously expensive and I just can't quite justify spending that much on a on them if I do not get to camp out as much as I would like. Thanks!

I am actually going to bring a sleeping pad I got a few years ago at a garage sale. I plan on making my hammock a nice cocoon like last year--tons of fleece blankets with sleeping pad sleeping bag around the outside. Was extremely warm and slept like a baby. Thanks though!
