Got my reservations made, and added my name to the spreadsheet. If we run out of space, I'm willing to share, if I happen to be in a site that has enough trees. Last year I happened to get one that only had one practical set to hang from .

    Cooler weather sounds nice!

My husband Jacob (Throkda on here) has two major hobbies (among many many minor ones). Hammock camping and teaching board games to new folks. He'll be DELIGHTED to help you learn how to play.

On an unrelated note.. the past few times I've brought a little library for people to peruse while they're sitting at the main campsite and bored with nothing else to do. All kinds of interesting books from whittling, knot tying, native plants, you name it. I've got a WIDE variety of all kinds of goodies. Shall I bring again?

That sounds like a great thing to bring, I'd for sure be interested in looking at it. Those are my two major hobbies as well (with hammocking being the newest)

TX hanger's Logo on hats and hammocks etc?

If you have one of those embroidery machines and someone sends you the "Texas Hammock Hangers" logo there will probably be people who will want to mail you hats, shirts, hammocks, UQ etc for you to add such custom work to and then deliver to them at this Texas Hang.
A friend of mine at a different organization does custom embroidery with a machine and I and many other people paid her to add the organization's logo and our names etc to shirts etc. I like this idea, 2 months before Christmas is good timing.

There may be someone wanting a Texas Hammock Swingers "special" logo on his hat. Everyone is unique, and special in the good Lord's eyes. LOL Heck I may want a logo on my favorite loincloth but my wife has told me NOT to wear it at public group events, only joking.

So far the reservation site shows 22 sites remaining, so 14 of us have supposedly registered, which matches up to the yes's on the file. So in 3 or 4 days we've reserved almost half of the sites available. That's awesome.

Also for those of you who didn't notice, like me until just now, there is now a checklist for if you are interested in a wild foods hike.

Then we'll have the tub o' camp-friendly games. Hive for sure, dominoes, and a complete icehouse and wooden Piecepack set if you're interested in looking at other game systems. I've also been thinking about picking up Roll Through the Ages as another durable interesting game for camping.
