I hadn't seen where Jacob (Throkda on here.. my husband) had spoken up, but this is for the newbies.
We are going to be there from Wednesday night through to the end over at campsite 14. If you need help with underquilts, or stoves, or whatnot, just come on by. I bring extra insulation, extra twine for tarps, extra rope, etc. We're delighted to help you out or put our heads together with some of the other geniuses on the site and figure it out.
Of course, I'm also the wild plant lady, and will be happy to talk both your ears off about plants, preparations, uses, and whatnot. Bringing more information to the hang than I have in the past. So if you've come on one of my walks before, you may still want to do it again. I'm not going to pre-forage this year. And the persimmons aren't ripe just yet since we haven't had our frost yet. Keep an eye on the board at the amphitheater. I haven't gotten to go hike out there just yet, but I would like to give us an interesting hike with the widest variety of plants available. As stands, I'm planning on the hike starting at 10:30 Saturday Morning at the amphitheater. I may move the location to the other side of the park depending on how interesting the trails are and what's growing where.
Also bringing the lending library I mentioned before. I've got the foxfire books in there, handy book, field and forest handy book, and the packing continues. You never know what will make it in the tub.
Oh, and musicians! I'm bringing my fiddle. If you can play something portable, then by all means, bring it! I don't care if you're a maestro, there's something incredibly enjoyable about sitting around a fire and playing music.
I'm leaving in less than 24 hours and doing the final stages of packing now.
