RipstopbytheRoll HyperD Olive Drab hammock

Received my Olive Drab Hyper D fabric yesterday and am putting together my single layer hammock this afternoon. Just going to roll hem the sides and channel the ends. (Might ball whip, we'll see) very much like the feel of the fabric and the color was exaclty what I wanted for this project. Very excited about the potential of this fabric look forward to putting it to daily use over the next couple months.

This is the first fabric I will be using in a single layer for myself (350 lbs) since my my early GT double days. Will be comparing it to the 1.6/1.1 double layer I have been sleeping in for the last couple weeks. Pics of the hammock to follow.

Ordering hammocks is like buying a PC 10 years ago...you spend hours and weeks researching, then finally, but tentatively make up your mind, only to have Dutch or Ripstop come up with some new super fabric the next day.

I will have both Dutch's and RipstopbytheRoll's new fabric with me at the next gathering. The fabric will be in the form of a hammock naturally.

There will be an Agon 1.6/1.1 double (1.1 from rsbtr), Argon 1.6 single and HyperD 1.6, single, all 59" wide and setup for folks to try. Will also have a 1.1 double 67" wide but I cannot readily source more of the wide fabric.

OK, found the first problem with the HyperD fabric. A problem common to several hammock fabrics.

I have 4 kids coming over to do yard work, build a campfire and roast some hot dogs & marshmallows.

Problem, I do not want to get out of this comfy hammock!

Argon vs HyperD which do you prefer? (If you have tried both in hammock form.) I almost can't wait for the 1.0oz HyperD...
