i believe the ground dwellers are cranky cause they didn't get a good nights sleep, i get cranky if i don't sleep well, i found hanging to give me the best sleep, without my cpap machine, animal control can attest to that!!! thanks warbonnet guy

i do not remember the question, however i believe beer is the answer
Envy does strange things to people.
There are still people the loathe trekking poles, U/V water treatment, trail runners, internal frame packs, etc. They are the old school that refuses to admit that something that has served them well for years could actually be replaced by something better. I don't fault them, I still prefer vinyl over CDs any day of the week. However, that hasn't stopped me from buying my fair share of CDs.
Other folks just like to argue. Remember, we are talking about Whiteblaze here.
Trust nobody!
Being a new hanger that loves seeing new converts "pop up" every day, I also think that we can't have everyone out there in hammocks or tree real estate will become scarce and that'll make ME cranky. So to that muck crawlin, chiropractic supportin, level ground seekin, brush clearin, keep your eyes to the ground and your body closer tent feller, you are right hammocks suck. They are clausterphobic, shoulder squeezin, motion sickening, banana shaped back breaking, bear burrito death traps with no room to park a car in. youll hate em'
Oh yeah, by the way, my stuff don't stink.......I bury it deep!
I thought I was wrong once, turns out I was wrong about that.
As in most things worth pursuing in life ...... "Lead by Quiet Comfortable example".
I personally will not let myself get dragged into negative ... wastes too much of my energy.
Another reason I really like this interesting and respectfully open-minded forum.
Shug ....Seriously
Whooooo Buddy)))) All Secure in Sector Seven
Relaxing and getting away from the daily grind of life is the reason we camp. To get out of our day to day rut. I don't hold any resentment towards hangers or ground dwellers. (even though I used to be a GD)... I'm just thankful that I live in a country where I can choose either option. I choose to hang... It does a body good.... So to quote a very wise man from L.A. " Can't We All Just Get Along"...
"Hang In There"
Leave It Better Then You Found It!!!
When I cruise different backpacking forums, I'll find threads with similar animosity towards lightweight backpackers. For whatever reason, people who hold on to the 'old ways' of doing things seem to resent those who have moved on to newer methods. Of course their attitude changes once they've adopted that newer method.

Life is too short to obsess about how someone else sleeps. Or does anything, for that matter. Try to be a positive influence and give a positive experience on those around you, and it makes everybody better. Those who constantly complain only make themselves seem weak/bitter/miserable, and provides no positive experience for anyone, including themselves. Life is too short and time too valuable to waste over such nonsense.
The more negative and ugly things get on WB, the more beautiful and friendly HF seems by comparision. I belong to a forum for just about every subject I'm interested in, but this is the only one I visit for the people as much as for the subject matter.
.. truly to enjoy bodily warmth, some small part of you must be cold, for there is no quality in this world that is not what it is merely by contrast. Nothing exists in itself. If you flatter yourself that you are all over comfortable, and have been so a long time, then you cannot be said to be comfortable any more. - Herman Melville
