Alright, I have been working and paddling and have not been here much, but there are two rules that are important to me and help preserve my mental health. 1. Don't take anything personally, and 2. Don't make assumptions.

If something isn't posted appropriately, don't take it personally, and don't assume it is because of negligence on the part of the mods. I haven't been here much, but I can tell you I have so appreciated this forum, its overall spirit has been positive and its energy high. That is not the result of some flowery feel good na nu na nu bunch of head in the sky folks. (unless hanging counts for head in the sky) It has a whole lot to do with the competence, time and talent given to this group by the moderators and the group members. I appreciate both, and when I am slowing down on the fun stuff, I will be back to participate more. Thanks to all and keep up the good work.

I am going to be doing a bunch of DIY stuff this winter so keep it coming.

Because the absolute last thing I need to be exposed to is learning to tie flies. I already spend enough time obsessing about this or that and fly tying looks to be a whole new level of addition. Plus, I'd have to rig some kind of table, light, and vice to my hammock so I could sit there all day and not get anything else done.

    That's why!
