Thanks everyone for the feedback. As soon as the gear is dry, I'll set it up and try adding something like what Grizz described so I am ready for my next hang in a few weeks. Hopefully it will not be as wet (on the gear at least).

Personally, I like and use 9.5 foot cords on the ridgelines and the same 9.5 foot, but STL, on the sides and corners....That way in a pinch I can orient my tarp in any fashion with equal, generous ease.

Six of one ... half dozen of the other! All I know is that loops sure are fast when it is raining and windy and cold. Been setting up in some strong winds and I was mighty thankful for the ease of my pre-tied loops. It is just a matter of pulling the tarp sides out or down in relation to the loop placement on the line.

Yea a few ideas on what nutter you are . Dude I love the vids. Not sure how I missed that one, thought I'd seen'em all. Good thing I clicked on it as I would have put many more loops in my tie outs. Makes sense though as you could always tie that Alpine Butterfly in the middle of that setup if you just couldn't find that sweet spot as you said.
