    HG is Awesome!!

I have an upcoming trip and ordered kinda late, but once again HammockGear came through in a big way! I've placed a few rush orders with Adam and he always comes through. I do try to avoid asking for special treatment but there was a definite lack of planning on my part for this trip.

I ordered a new 40* Burrow and Phoenix with Burnt Red interior and Black exterior.

I also ordered a cuben fiber stuff sack for the quilt set, but Adam sent me an extra one, so now I have cuben fiber stuff sacks for my 0*, 20* and 40* quilt sets!

TQ/UQ are stuffed into the same stuff sack. The upcoming trip will be the first time that each of my sons will have their own HG TQ/UQ, and to top it all off they also get CF stuff sacks? Awesome job, HG! Thanks so much for getting me the gear in time for the trip. I am one happy customer.

    Wow, very nice.

    And you were worried...haha

I need to make a cuben stuff sack, just haven't ordered the tape yet. Suppose I could wait just a little bit longer, huh?

Not so much worried as anxious - I can hear the mailman coming from three blocks away and I'm on the curb waiting for him every day. When he pulled up today I could see he had a box and was hoping it was for me.

Though it was four years ago when I got my first hammock, it seems like yesterday I was saying, "I will never buy an UQ - too expensive," and then I bought a 20* Phoenix. Next was, "I will never buy a cuben fiber tarp," then I bought one. Then, it was, "I will never buy a TQ," and I bought a 20* Burrow. Next it was, "I will never be one of those people who have a quilt set for every season; that's crazy!" then I bought a 0* Incubator and Burrow. Just seemed logical to go ahead and get the 40* Phoenix and Burrow.

But I'm only doing it for my sons. This is not about me!

    Point taken.
Describe your reality and make it so...sew?

Either way, you are golden and now I anxiously await the postman, she only rings once.

Well, it is an Adirondacks trip so temps will be in the low 40s, high 30s. I'll probably use the 0* set since I don't really get overly hot with down. The better question is who gets stuck with carrying it! If we went with who is the strongest hiker, I'd be stuck with it. Therefore, we won't use that logic since it is unfavorable to me.

We could go with who is the youngest - and I'm not, so I get the 40* set and my 15-year-old gets stuck with the 0* set. But instead I'll go with another criteria favorable to me: he who weighs the least gets the lightest quilt set. He who weighs the most carries the 0* set. So by that criteria, I get the 40, my 15-year-old gets the 20, and my 22-year-old gets the 0* set. Fat shaming at its best!

First night, you're gonna need to help me adjust the UQ suspension - it's always better if somebody else eyeballs it while the user is in the hammock. I think you've done this for my other two UQs so once more ain't gonna hurt ya!

That 40* looks nice. I have the 20* which is really nice but was a little warm using it in the summer. Maybe it's time to invest in a summer UQ.

I was considering those colors too except opposite. I still couldnt decide so I went with all black for my 40* Burrow and Phoenix. I do like the red and black though.
