Patch or seal extra needle holes

So a little extra fabric snuck under the needle as I was sewing the ridge line

Would it be better to patch this or just seal it?

I've had that happen before. Take some GE Silicone II, and rub it into the holes with your finger's - undiluted. Then use a paper tower and wipe it clean. Has worked very well as a repair method for me.

Agreed, I have used silicone II, also the permatex windshield silicone sealant works well. I have even used shoe goo. I think a patch would create more liability. It should be easy peasy and will last a long time.
