    Ridge Runner XL ???

    Brandon,

When your announcement thread came out a few years ago introducing the Ridge Runner Bridge Hammock, at one point you were asked if you were going to consider a version for bigger people. I believe you indicated that you might consider an XL version. Presumably an XL version would be at least a foot longer, 6 to 10 inches wider and be able to sustain a weight factor of up to say, 300 or 350.

I am 6'1" and typically weigh in at 235ish, however this past year I've blossomed to 250 to 255 because of two surgeries that have limited activity. (That's my story and I'm sticking to it.).

Have you given any further thought, or would you consider a custom RR bridge for on a special order basis.

I was going to PM you, but I'm pretty sure, gauging from group hangs, that there are a lot of folks that exceed the rated limit of the RR but would like an opportunity to have a WBRR XL.

    Many thanks and best wishes.

I am also interested. My wife get nervous when I get around her RR.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

Interested as well. I'm 240# and while I'm unconcerned my RR will hold me, about 4" more elbow room at the cat cut would make a much more comfortable sleep for me.

Interested also @ 6' 250lb. I know there is a built in safety factor but wouldn't want to push it.

I'll pay to today to pre-order one if they decide to make one. I'm 6', 230 and haven't found a bridge I'm truly comfortable in. My 8YO son won't get back into his Hennesy Scout Zip after her slept in my BBBH. I lost a CLark TX 250 that way to my 9 YO son also. On second thought maybe I should rethink this. History may repeat itself.....

I just ordered an XLC but before placing my order, I emailed Brandon about the actual possibility of a custom XL RR. It seems technical issues preclude this being a viable option at this time : (

    Thanks 401Hunter.

Appreciate your pursuit of a response. A little disappointed that Brandon didn't respond on the thread.

    Oh well.

    All the best !
