    Newbie from New York City

    Hello all,

    I just wanted to post and give my thanks to the collective firehose of information that is hammockforums.

    A good friend got me into backpacking a few years ago. I hiked from GA to NJ on the AT in 2012, and this past weekend I did my first hang, solo, with a borrowed Hennessy and JRB Nest. I slept beautifully, and I love seeing so many more campsites in the woods.

    I have learned a lot lurking here. Thanks again!
