I found an emergency tent at a survival theme gift shop in palm springs at the 360 gondola. I plan on using it as a rain fly. It was 8 bucks so I decided that it is worth a try has anyone else done this? If so please respond. I will post pictures once I use it.
Rough conversion on the 183 x 250cm is 6'-0 x 8'-0, that's barely 10'-0 along the diagonal. Might have a bit o' hammock sticking out the ends.
Are you going to cut open the 'plastic tube' or just put your hammock (or yourself) inside the tube?

Yah I took it out and found it is hard to fold back up. Back to the drawing board I guess
If you are going to use it as a emergency tent, fold front and back inwards to create doors and wall to prevent flooding.....
the stone in cloth system as anchor point will do fine.
I had one similair for storage, not for sleeping.
