I&M Canal 9/29-9/30

I am heading out to the I&M canal this Friday and I will be there at the site by dusk. I know this is short notice, but I have been wanting to go for awhile and something always comes up, but I have no other plans at this time. For me, this may be one of the last weekends I can count on my summer quilts to keep warm. I plan on fishing, practicing baking, and relaxing all at the same time, so if you fish bring a pole. Please mention if you are probably going, then hopefully everyone can pick up a bundle of firewood or two. I hope you do show up even if you do not say you are going, though I would not get any firewood if nobody else is going, and I am planning on using a small wood stove and sticks to practice cooking over a fire. All are welcome!

At this point, I'm a maybe. If I am able to go, I'll probably bring my son out too (he also enjoys hammock camping).

Can't make it. I have a wedding things to go to. Not my own, a friends.

I should be there for Saturday night. I planned on going this weekend so that works out. I am not planning to bring any fantastic foods though. This is just a camping trip to get me out of the house this weekend.


Edit: Just noticed the Football game is away this weekend. I might be able to swing Friday night also. If I do I will be hiking in around dusk also.

Hope you can make it. And your son too. He can scare away the Raccoons for us

I am not getting along with the raccoons at all. The last time I was there they ate a large muffin that took me over an hour to cook and I was saving it for breakfast. I suppose the raccoons are looking forward to seeing me visit though! I am going to ask tomorrow if we should get a couple of bundles of firewood per person. There is a very nice fireplace there.
