Thumbs up 2Q&ZQ Zipper Mod 2

Friday and Saturday is the first trip some friends and I have taken since I had the zipper mod performed on my hammock. At first I was a little worried about the added weight. But after using the hammock last Friday night all those worries are gone. I cant explain how much more a part of the camp enviroment I, and the hammock, became when sitting inside the hammock. Before the zipper was added, I felt mostly cut off from what was happening outside around me. Friday night was very hot and muggy. All I had to do was unzip the hammock a little and it felt 10-15 derees cooler. 2Q & ZQ game me the option of dropping off then picking back up the hammock from them. That way, I wouldnt miss it on a couple of my trips due to shipping time. They were the nicest of people and their workmanship is top notch. the stitch work looked very nice and even strenthened an existing flaw in the original hammock. All I can say is, at the cost of a few ounces, I feel the zipper mod was worth it...............John

My Bro (NightEyes) and I have the same mods and love them. Without the mods, getting in and out was a real drag..particularly when you have a sleeping bag and/or pad in the hammock.

When it comes to hot weather, whenever I don't have a problem with mosquitos, the net is always open. Like you said, it makes it very noticeably cooler. Also, when weather and sky conditions permit, having the net open with the fly tied way back gives a great view of the night sky.

Lastly, while 2Q had our hammocks, I also had him sew shut the velcro flap on the bottom. Having lost a +$1,700 hearing aid once, I don't ever want a repeat.

2Q and his wife (she is the one who actually does all the work) do a first class job for a reasonable price. It does not get any better than that!

I too got the 2QZQ mod done on my Hyperlight, and all I can say is "WOW", top notch work, if you didn't know it was a MOD you would never be able to tell, best money spent!

    Love at first lay!

Not much that hadn't been said about the 2QZQ mods, so I'll just say that it's like I have two hammocks, a traditional HH and a top entry HH. VERY friendly folks and superior workmanship. Don't wait, just get a 2QZQ mod (mine was the 3 Mod) and you'll never regret it. Thanks Donna (TIM), too.
