    WBBB Yeti vs. Pad

Hello everyone! I currently have a WBBB double 1.1 hammock and use a 3/4 pad. Money is always tight due to the fact that I'm saving to buy a house. Is it worth buying the Yeti (or maybe some other UQ) or will a pad serve me fine? I mostly camp 3-season but I'm interested in trying a hang in the 30's.

The UQ should take priority over the house.

    Hey there....
A pad will do you as long as your comfortable on it. If you camp a lot you'll move up to a UQ someday.
    Carry forth.

An UQ is more comfortable IMO but if money is tight, a pad will work fine. If you have some sewing skills or know someone that does, you could convert an old sleeping bag to an UQ for not too much money.

You could also get a synthetic underquilt from arrowhead equipment full length for 150,160 for 3 season.

Have you looked at the AHE Jarbridge UQ? They are on sale for $75 but it ends today. I purchased 2 and have already hung in them. They are a bargain for the price

Save your pennies and get a UQ. The Terminator and I ( both BB users) started off with pads but when we could we upgraded to UQ's. Major difference in comfort. We have several 3/4 length UQs that my wife who is 5ft 3 finds are more like a full length UQ for her.

I should have posted that one then the full length because he mentioned the yeti. But yes AHE has great prices for their gear.
