Snake Skins: Leave tarp guy lines on, or take them off?

I'm loving having snake skins on my Hennessy Hex tarp. I also love the fact that the tarp has little pockets in the corners to hold the guy lines. I have noticed that those little pockets packed with a guy line do make it a little tough to slide the snake skins on and they seem to make it a little more bulky and less flexible once "skinned".
My question to you guys is: Do you leave your tarp guy lines on the tarp when you use your snake skins so it is all ready to go immediately, or do you take them off and just put them back on as you set up the tarp?

I leave mine on. I use Zing-it for guy lines so they don't have much bulk.

I've got the Nite Ize reflective lines with small figure 9s on them, that could certainly contribute to the bulk.

yep leave them on, I just roll them up with the tarp then pull the skins over it. I also have zing it and line loc's makes for a really fast setup and not much bulk

I use cam locks on my Dyneema lines. I stow each tie-out by pushing the cam up close to the D-ring, which doubles the line. Then, I fold the line in half again twice and tie a loose overhand knot. When I slide the snakes skins over the tarp, the tie-out bundles slide in distributed along the length of the snake skin.

I use a tarp fly (DG) and Dutch hook on the ridge line. Once I have the tarp stowed in the snake skins, I unhook one end the ridge line and stow it using the aforementioned method of folding in half and tying an overhand knot. Then, I stow that bundle of ridgeline in the snakeskin pockets.

I fold the snakeskins in half and push the middle end into the stuff sack so the 2 snakeskin ends are last in-first out. That makes it easy to hang the tarp so it doesn't touch the ground when I set up.

This method seems to work really well for keeping all of my lines separated so I don't have to spend time untangling everything.

I do like TallPaul does. I think your problem comes from using those little pockets. That creates a bulge. You want the lines spread out in the rolled up tarp. Shug shows how to do this in one of his videos, but I don't know which one.

On all my tarps I roll them up like TallPaul. My BC USA 12x10 tarp I've configured with lash-it whoopies for tension adjustment. This means more line than many folks use, and I'm sure some gram counters would freak out. I'm not counting grams, so they work brilliantly for what I'm doing.
