AT Section Hike With My Hammock

Well folks I am getting ready to do a 100 mile section of the AT starting on May 7th. This will be my first extended trip using my hammock. I can't wait. One thing I am doing different is that i am not taking a pad with me I am going to use my sleeping bag as a pad if needed. I will also be taking my Nest and No Sniveler. I just need to get my hammock out and remove the stock tarp as I have the MacCat Deluxe. Whis me luck and you can keep up with me at my trailjournals page.

have fun. I ran into a thru-hiker this past week who is hammocking. No underquilt just a pad and sleeping bag as insulation. BTW it got down in the teens the 1st two nights I was out.

Major update here people; Today I received a threat on my Guest book at Trail Journals. I am going to reschedule my hike for safety. In the morning I will be contacting the authorities to have this person identified and prosecuted. I will let everyone know what happens but I will not release the date of my hike.

    wow, sorry to hear that.
the US is filled w/ wackos... more & more each day. i got into a scuffle w/ someone last week just trying to get a milk shake form the drive drive through at mc donalds.
i once dreamed while sleeping in my hammock near a road, that a bunch of red necks came driving through the woods to mess w/ my hiking partner & me, so i jumped up from my hammock & went running toward them w/ some kind of a war cry... in my dream.
then i woke up & wondered if my friend herd me holler
I too will something make and joy in it's making
