Cannot believe it, tires are already shot on Amanda's (SnottyTissues) new bike. 6700 miles and belts are showing on the rear tire. Ordered new Michelin's yesterday, hopefully I can get 'em spooned on before the hang, otherwise we'll take the Dragon. Metzler should be ashamed of themselves, it's not like she's on a sport bike or anything, and she rides like a GIRL. On second hand, maybe it's because she has to keep up with me!!

I'm going to try to make this. I itching to do some cool weather hanging.

Question: Is there calm water, good for kayaking in the area?

Yes, there are both a pond and a reservoir nearby. The pond is smallish , though they do rent boats there, but only a couple minutes from PGF. The reservoir would be a nice paddle with some streams flowing into it and some nice pine stands along the edges and is more like a 15-20 min drive from PGF.

I was going to look into a 1 day PA fishing license but darn it, I only spent 2 more dollars for a year than they want for a 1 day out of state permit. What a hosing!

Off-topic but I am showing very fast wear on a Metzler I put on just two years ago, and I don't put that many miles on my R80RT. Won't use that brand again. . . .

My plans for that weekend just fell through... thinking about making the trip. Anyone from the Boston area planning on going? I'd prefer to carpool, if possible.

All of you have a great time. I am going to lend a hand at the Ohiopyle PA VFD Buckwheat festival, so I will not be attending. Will sorely miss the campfires!

For us first timers, any advice on where to go when we arrive, how to select a hang spot?

The road into camp drops down a little hill to the right of the office and behind and below the Inn. Follow that past the general store. The group site is on the left before the family camping area. Plenty of parking and a large grove of even larger Pine Trees.

I hadn't made it out of my truck before folks were offering assistance. I hadn't made it 4ft from my truck before I was being offered food, a hand with gear and site suggestions.
