Cool...details on how you made it, please. It looks similar to a turtle stand, but details would be nice.
I would love to see the maids faces when they walk in on that.
Love your signature too.

Yes. Details please. What are those poles? I really need a nice portable stand for staying in a hotel.
Those look like military antenna poles. There are several hammock-stand builds that use these. The 'bay has sellers, often advertising them to ham radio enthusiasts.
Nice job. They sure had to look at you pretty funny bringing all those poles into the hotel....and where did you put the bed?
I've got a dozen of those 4-foot poles, and was wondering about using them for this very purpose, either at one end of hammock or both ends. The poles are originally 'camouflage netting supports', and can be had in aluminum or fiberglass(plastic). I didn't think the fiberglass would be strong enough for my portable antenna setups, so I went with the aluminum. Carry bag (about size of very tall golf club bag) has '2-man carry. 42 pounds' stenciled on it. 12 poles, 9 heavy aluminum tent stakes, and 3 guy rings. I would need 4 more poles to duplicate your setup.
Thanks for posting this!

The poles are the military ham radio antenna. They are 4' sections and are perfect. There is a thread here about the military poles. The only thing I'm going to change is the lashing. I will probably use some hardware to make it a bit more stable.
I'm sure the maids had everyone come look.
They gave me a huge room so all I had to do was move the recliner and set up.
Life has no remote. Get up and change it yourself!
Lol....Awesome!
Nice job!!!
We would be one step closer to world peace, if everyone slept in a hammock..
The guy on TV seems as confused as the maid!
I've been hauling a stand into the hotel rooms for a while. Really nice to not have to use a bed.
The best rooms to ask for are single rooms with a pullout bed. Perfect area in front of the pull-out for a hammock on a stand.
