    Yeti - rigging question

Recently received my WBBB and Yeti and I'm having a little trouble pairing the two together.

When I pull the Yeti cords over my hammock knots it forms a VERY tight sling. I've tried adding a little extra rope (shoe string actually) to loosen the set up... however, no matter what I do, I feel like a wiener in a hotdog bun! The Yeti cords pull right up against my body and actually make it a little difficult to lie asym - both my head and calves rest against the taught cord (not real comfortable).

Does anyone have any luck with rigging the Yeti a little wider out so it doesn't add shoulder squeeze? What about rigging the line around the footbox?

I've been hammocking for a while now... but heck, there's a decent chance I'm just missing something here.

    Any input would be great.

yeah, the line is supposed to go over the top of the footbox (did i forget the directions again). it should not be under your calves. the length of the shockcord is correct, it keeps it from moveing around on you. you'll have to tug on the zipper side of the quilt once your situated, pull the edge up 6" or so above your shoulder, this should get it out of the way of your head.

also make sure the head edge of the quilt is even with the top of your shoulders, and that the head end is at the head end and the foot end is at the foot end of course

    Thanks for the description Brandon.

Where do the cord ends of your yeti attach? Are you slipping them up against the fabric ball ends or attaching with mini biners?

Shug... you've covered just about everything else.... bring on the colorful UQ vids.

I got some Nite-Ize #2 biners for my UQ ends. They're light and have no sharp edges to rip into any fabric or cording. I also attached another piece of shockcord with a biner to the cord above the hammock's zipper side head end and then pull that out to a tarp stake. The UQ stays put.

It works great! I thought I needed biners too, but you don't.

yes to hooking over the ball of fabric

easiest UQ set up ever devised---more kudos to Warbonnetdude's genius.
And the fact that you can reach out and slide the Yeti either direction is just plane good thinking.
