We certainly had tons o' fun, and I think it is definitely time for another swamp hang!!

    More pics.

Relax, monsters under the hammock are easily distracted by twister-playing squirrels.

    Sir Rice, the lethargic.

Sir Rice, It's been the better part of a decade since I've gone paddling in the Congaree area, though I'd love to go back. Used to go quite a bit through one of the local outfitters (Adventure Carolina) though. Sadly my new (to me) canoe needs quite a bit of work before its really ready for much more than a few hours putzing about Lake Murray. It's an old 17 1/2' Grumman Aluminum Canoe, and right now it has zero positive buoyancy which means if I capsize it then the canoe is gone. I have to install a seat and kneepads for soloing as well as float bags and other requisite safety equipment, not to mention making a few modifications to the gunwales. It will almost certainly be at least a month before I'm able to get a start on most of that list.

The aforementioned rumors had generally indicated a time like October... though I should have the boat set up before then.

That said, if anyone out there has a spare kayak with a 350# or higher load limit I could borrow.... .
A free canoe is better than no canoe.

Might could manage a loaner canoe gotta talk to my buddy "Big Canoe" he's got a pretty substantial fleet. He and I are both very active with YMCA trailblazers so if we could possibly get a heads up on the weekend or maybe send out a choice so that we can jockey schedules.

Looks like yall had a really good time. Could yall keep me in mind when you go to have a group hang? I have not been camping in quite a while and this would be my first time in a hammock. But i think i would enjoy seeing all the different types that would be there.

October sounds about right. We will post a date on the calendar on the home page. Keep an eye out for it. We might even set up a pole to have people vote on possible dates.

Gonna have to be at least October. If the weather turns out nice in September, I may drive up on a friday night for a weekend. As always, you guys are more than welcome to join me. You know how we do.

I'll bring the brats with cheese in 'em. See if you can get schneiderlein to bring some fancy mustard that he has to show his ID for.

btw. I saw a picture of dameon rinsing bacon off in the lake. Was Stewy there too?
