    Tarp Pole Mod for Cloudburst

    Here is my tarp: http://www.warbonnetoutdoors.com/cloudburst/

This is what I want to do: http://wildernesslogics.com/TARP-POLE-MOD-KIT-TPM.htm

Can anyone give me guidance on what I should buy for supplies. I want to do a mod that is the "no sew" method like the one wilderness logics offers. Just need to be pointed in the right direction as far as what I should order.

    Thanks in advance!

I had them both bookmarked because I read them both thoroughly before doing exactly what you want.

Dutch gear has a set you can buy outright and I think one of threads discusses one that is made with a 45* joint in the middle.

I hate you guys. I now know what I am going to buy right after I save up for the Cloudburst. Glad to see some fellow Missourian Ridgerunner connoisseurs (Live north of KC during summer and part of winter).

For someone who is not a DIY type yet (Unskilled) are there any cons to just going ahead and ordering the Dutch gear tarp pole mod set?

Thanks CeeVee! I think I'm actually going to get the tarp mod set from them. Plus a stinger and titanium dutch hook! All of it looks so clean and nicely done.

I absolutely love my Ridgerunner! Nothing like laying flat on air. We just had a hang in the KC area last weekend actually!

I just went to their website and I think I'm going to get the Tarp Mod tonight and some miscellaneous items. It looks so clean and opens up the space a ton! Definitely what I needed.

The poles that the Dutchware set use are the same ones that I ordered from Quest Outfitters. The price for a set from Dutch are almost exactly what I paid for all the individual pieces, so if you are a bit hesitant to assemble them yourself, get the ones from Dutch. His shipping tends to be cheaper than most, and I recall that shipping was a bit steep from Quest, so you might come out ahead ordering from Dutch.

Just ordered 25 feet of zing it, a stinger, titanium dutch hook, and the tarp pole mod pair! All of this including shipping was 65! Not too bad for prices considering that just solved all of my tarp problems. I plan on having a continuous ridgeline across the top of the tarp. That way if needed the tarp mod can sit on that line and not rub on my tarp.
