First time seeking advice from here,

Alright here goes. Im not a expert hanger with all the knots and whoopie slings..I use a stock Hennessey hammock with decender ring/biner set up with the supplied HH suspensions straps. Its super easy for me to set up and I like it that way. My problem is the straps they send to you are way to short for my liking I think 42" or something. I would like to get something in the 60"-72" range with sewn loops on both ends..

Now to order from them is like $15 shipping on a $30 order(2 sets).. There has to be a cheaper place that I can get just as good of straps or better right?

There are many options that may suit your needs. Perhaps you could just lark's head hitch (girth hitch) an extension "tree hugger" strap to each of the ones you already have sew a loop on them or truck's hitch or slippery half hitch.
Other "tree hugger" webbing straps with fairly low shipping costs that I personally like are:

    www.Dutchwaregear.com

Edit: WARNING!!! If you go to Dutch 's website you may be mesmerized by all the cool Dutch "bling" and fail to resist the urge to spend a lot more than $15 extra on lots of Titanium stuff and dyneema cord you may not actually need. You and your credit card have been warned! LOL

Tell Dutch you are new to hammocks and HF he might give you a first time buyer's 10% off on one item. Heck I try never to miss an opportunity to negotiate just for the fun of it, all he can say is no and don't listen to that ntxkayakr he is a nut case. LOL. ;-)

    Try these: http://www.arrowhead-equipment.com/s...uckle_Kit.html

    http://dutchwaregear.com/hammock-stuff/

I don't think you would be dissapointed in either choice and great folks to do business with. Several suspension options available between the two. Good luck.

Both, ready strap and Dutch have great pricing, and lightening fast shipping.

We think they've both been using drones for quite some time now.

Do not stumble over package on the next trip out the door after placing order!

I think Ready Strap is psychic.

Its like Gary knows what I'm going to order it and puts it in the mail before I contact him----that's how fast the shipping is.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions. I just placed a phone call to Gary at readystraps. Waiting for a return call. Those are pretty sweet straps, simple and easy just how I like it. Thanks again everyone..

There are literally dozens of ways to use something as simple as a "tree hugger" but both the hammock professor (grizz) see sticky video threads and also Warbonnet Outdoors videos have some great ideas. One you could try is to take the new "tree huggers" from readystrap.com put them around the tree, loop one end through the loop of the other end then attach the webbing suspension of your Hennessy to that second loop at end of tree hugger instead of wrapping it around the tree. I think this method was basically demonstrated by Brandon (aka Warbonnetguy) @ minute 1 of his suspension youtube video. I am mobile now so difficult to post link to it. Fairly obvious once you get out with hammock and straps to trees and start to try these things.
