Do you sleep to the right or the left?

I've been looking at pictures of hammock setups and comparing them to how I've been doing things and it got me wondering: Which side of the hammock do you put your head to when you do your diagonal lay?

Do you have a particular reason for your choice?

I seem to see a lot more pictures with people choosing the "head to the left feet to the right" angle, but I personally have found that I do better with my head to the right and feet out to the left. I think maybe that could be because when I started hanging in my basement I needed to lay that way to see the TV

EDIT: My apologies to the bridge hammock users... I meant to give you an option too but I had a brain fart as I was finishing up the poll!

Both! I flop around like a fish on dry land. I'm a side sleeper and not only switch sides, but switch diagonals too. This is one reason why I like hammocks without an integrated bugnet that shapes the hammock (exception being Switchback hammocks).

Head left - feet right to take advantage of the WBBB design. However, shug does the opposite and uses the area for storage. What ever is comfortable is the way to go!

You might be getting a little bit of a selection bias there - it's possible that the only people who vote on the poll are those who think their lay is different, and therefore more likely to report. I'd go by pictures or videos for a more realistic ratio.

I am a variable. I go with several factors, where to the sore parts of my body feel the best, where is the best view of the sky, I have hardware in both shoulders which means they hurt a lot, normally one is worse than the other, I keep the sore shoulder on the up side.

Head right, feet left for me. I couldn't sleep the other way the first time I camped in a hammock. Two later attempts to sleep feet right resulted in a cramp in the arch of my right foot. If you've never experienced the arch cramp, count yourself lucky. They are excruciating. 2nd only to kidney stones in my experience.

In my bed at home I prefer to sleep on my left side. So in the hammock I like to lay on my left and look out the edge of the hammock.

    Great replies so far!

I thought about adding "straight down the middle" as an option, but I just forgot in the end. DOH!
