Not even close, buddy. Much better and more creative than that. Give me some credit, will ya'?
In all seriousness, though, does anyone know how much snow is still left up there? I'm really worried about the pulk and thinking I might just ditch the Kureg and satellite tv and stuff and backpack in instead. Has anyone called a ranger station to ask about snow pack at the Frog Lake Campground?

OK...Just spoke to a ranger from the Zig Zag station who had just been there. 3-4 INCHES (!) of snow on the side of the road, spotty snow/mud/ice on the trail. The use of snowshoes and pulks is NOT recommended/needed at this time. He said (in between laughing) that it would expend more energy than it's worth to pull a pulk through the muck. There you have it, people. Don't be hatin' the messenger.......(gotta' go repack now.....)

So I ask this question again, should I bring my Quad with trailer for hauling wood?
FYI my though hiker friends hate my excessive use of firewood.
OregonBushcraft-- awesome!! Can't wait ta see those doors. I'm bringing mine untested, too. Nothing like a "field" test to prove out the design, right?
I'm bringing both pack and pulk. Hoping for enough white stuff for pulk, but okay with packin' it in, too. I just wanna get out there and see all yer smilin' faces!!
