Indeed! I don't own a car, but as long as I can arrange for pickup somewhere (I can use Amtrak etc., and am willing to pay gas money) I am definitely interested!

Since most of my friends are grad students with little to no income, I completely understand if they have other priorities, and want to spend their hard-earned funds on something else. At the same time, however, I am interested in trips that we simply cannot do with their current gear. Hence my desire for new hiking partners.

understandable. I'm in my early 20's so all my friends are exactly the same... we want to go but have no money. I've been investing for about 6 years i think and I have too much stuff. Why not just make a stove? I made one for about 14 bucks just the other day.

Yes, well, it's definitely...different

Today I was dayhinking in Strawberry Canyon (Right behind the football stadium) and met everything from a jogger in *bright* pink spandex to an Amish-looking couple and a guy in a fedora and gray silk suit who looked like he had just stepped out of a mafia movie. It does keep things interesting, that for sure
