    Hennessy Clips

Any one know where I could find (purchase) the small plastic clips that are used on the Hennessy tarps?

Strapworks and other vendors carry a wide range of plastic hardware for ropes and webbings. They are not difficult to find on line. My problem has been paying the shipping cost for four mitten hooks seems outrageous. But whatever floats your boat.

edit: it would appear that Strapworks only carries the hardware for webbing.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Go to a local hobby shop (JoAnn's or Miichael's) and ask for mitten hooks. I've seen them there before.

That is a good idea. But, I don't always use my hooks any more any way. I have replaced hem with tiny non-load bearing biners or some thing similar, for one reason. As I tend to stuff the entire HH and SS UC with pads and space blanket into a large stuff sack al together as a unit. And the elastics from the UC and pad were always coming off of the hook. Not a big deal at all, but I prefer everything stays hooked up, so that once I attache to the trees every thing pops back in place exactly like I had it. It might cost me a small fraction of an oz or maybe a tad more.

I've had the HH tarp hooks open up when under load and let go of the line, so I don't trust them anymore.

Since hooks tend to snag things when unpacking I actually cut all of them off.
